We went up to Powburn Northumberland at the weekend to play in the Scottish lowlands and did this ride out on Sat, 239 miles, with stops about 7.5 hours. Absolutely amazing roads, nothing on em, apart from quick blast down the M74 to go back up to wards Hawick. Up and down hills, twisties etc, scenery out of this world, as good as anywhere in Europe! If your up that way DO IT, you won't be dissapointed :thumb

Great route!

If you don't want to do the M74 bit the old A74 runs parallel and flips over and under the M74 all the way down to Gretna - now called B7076. It's a good piece of road, well maintained and low on traffic, police and cameras.
