Norton and Firefox

Is there some incompatibility issue?
My Norton AV is due for renewal, but when I click to renew it says "Can't open my default browser, verify if browser is installed."
Been through Norton a couple of times but cannot see where default browser is set or mentioned.
Can't get into Norton support for this reason.
Any ideas apart from use Avast?

What he is saying is don't renew Norton because it's garbage and go get Microsoft security essentials instead. Works really well and it's free. I will guarantee you an increase in the performance of your machine and few if any problems if you do. Of course you have saved money as well which is always nice.
