Norton question

Am I at risk!

Norton AntiVirus Online Service Status - Virus protection says up to date but when i try to run a live update it says my subs have expired with a date of 30-12-1899
System status - Attention.
Subscription service-18.3.09
renewal date 30:12:1899
Auto update-on.

When i try to run it from my toolbar it says the same thing.

Any ideas ?

Sounds like it has expired - try checking here

ditch it! get AVG Free, does the job much better. Norton tends to slow your system down and you wont get issues like this with AVG.

Which was exactly what I was advised to do on this very forum when I posed some Norton queries a year or two ago.
I did as I was told and still run AVG, no problems.

So what's a subscription to Norton; about thirty quid? Do as advised and get AVG (or the one I use, Avira), and you'll probably find that it's the best thirty quid you've ever lost.

Suggest you also get SpyBot-Search and Destroy.
