If you think living in a tent for a week in the summer is to primitive for you, then try to imagine how it is in the winter. :)

A short intro in English at the bottom of this page for you:

The blogg / diary are in Norwegian, but you get an idea of how he live and what he eat from the pictures:

...I'm glad I live indoor these days!

Yes.
He have access to a shed with electricity so he can charge his mobile phone and laptop.
And he have his car on the nearest road.

Last time I read his blogg (not this week) he said he lost weight:
It is hard to find and kill food, and the food is not like at home...

-But imagine the stars at night! Must be spectacular!
-And no bills in the mailbox or bad news in the newspaper! :thumb2

At his blogg there is a movie:
He killed a fox and boiled the head for 2 hours.
Foxes smell strong and not good, and the meat taste the same; not good.
He are happy he have killed deers he can eat! :)

Christmas was ok:
-7c, and that felt ok as it was -20c before.
He had deer for dinner - as usual.
And a fish called pigghå. (I do not know the name in English.)

Soon he are moving closer to the fjord.
And soon he can eat blåskjell (name? It's animal in the sea, soft inside, hard outside, no bones, hard to open, easy to catch as they do not move much.)

He has lost 21kg.
In most cartoons with cave men they are fat, but Kristoffer struggle not to loose weight.

His dog seem ok!

11 pictures here! http://www.rb.no/lokale_nyheter/article4776639.ece
A journalist from a local newspaper wrote:
One ferry and one local private boat, and the journalist met Kristoffer.
Kristoffer drove his car up to his camp.
(If he is where I think; he can not drive from the area, the roads does not go out of the very small area.)

It say in the report he have a secret phone number, and only a few journalists visit him, as he want to be alone.
He got toilet paper!
But no deodorant, and he try not to smell him selves.
He have brushed his teeth 5-6 times in the last 4 month.
He miss friends, girls, shower and food.
And the dog have dog food!

:) Liv.

Nice part of the world to go skiing in, and great fun in the summer but I wouldnt want to try and catch enough to eat during the winter.

Camped out in the snow there a couple of times and by god does it get cold.

Still of all the places I have lived Norway has to be the most spectular.

I would not try to do what he are doing! :eek
I have no problem sleeping in a tent in -5c for a weekend. But this is not the same!

My largest problem would not be nobody to talk to.
But to survive; I struggle with my primus, and I'm too lazy too pick berries and make yam. And hunt? Me? I can't kill anything larger then a fly.

The area; yes, beautiful, dramatic, peaceful - wonderful! ...in the summer.

I believe he are in this area:
