Looking to get a ferry to,hopefully Gothenberg,supposed to run from Newcastle but it seems it doesnt anymore,tried Immingham,frieght only,any ideas peeps???????

Only option was freight for bike and fly over when my mates and I looked a year ago. Its been stopped about 4 years now I am told. If you do find a way, please share it as I would very much like to go on the bike one day.

Hi,

there is a ferry from Harwich (East Anglia) to Esjberg (Denmark) which puts you within striking distance of Norway (ride up the Danish coast to Hirsthal then get fast cat to Kristensand).

I am on the Immingham ferry to Gothenburg going in June. Return trip cost £459 for me and the bike.

Isnt there one from Newcastle, North Shields to Stavanger? Was a few years back, it was full of bikes..

Keep up .... Newcastle to Norway ferry stopped several years ago.

Quite a few people on here waiting expectantly to see if another ferry operator picks up the route in the coming years as the options to get a bike to Norway are otherwise somewhat limited and add a lot of additional miles & cost.

immingham (UK) to kirstinansand (No) is good, it's a stop off point on the same route as Gothenburg.

if you ask nicely they'll even let you drive the ferry....
