Not a single call for donedeal ad

Selling my 2002 1150gs with 35k miles and a ton of extras for that I feel is a great price on DD.
Been a few weeks and there hasn't been a single call.
Put my car on DD last weekend and it was sold and picked up within 2 hours...
Anyone have any insights on the current market, is everyone down shifting and there is a gluten of supply or something?
 
I’m suprised you haven’t got some low offers from chancers. Are you sure your contact details are correct? JJH
 
Just seen it’s been on for a few weeks. You can bump it up to the top. JJH

Why not subscribe to the forum, and try and sell it here, lots of guys like a nice bike at a decent price, even JB
 
I know of a similar GS in Dublin. No interest. Puzzling but they are an elderly bike now.

A few suggestions if I may:
Show a photo with panniers fitted.
Remove mention of replacement shafts. Discuss it in person
Remove that ugly bunch of keys in ignition.
Remove "Powder coated frame"
Sell some extras and reduce price. (PM sent)
Mention service history and receipts if you have them
Mention make of engine bars. sw_motech?
 
ive just done two searches on DD, one was top type in R1150GS and search, the other is to go through the make and model search, neither found an R1150GS with 35k mls??
 
I thought it may be the blue and white one in Cork, with 23000 miles, which is not far off in kilometres?
Should sign up to Subs. and show it to the world.
 
I have found the search engine in donedeal to be pretty dumb so that it doesn't pick up your item if you leave a space or have slightly different numbers etc.
 
I want to see this add. I want to find out why he didn’t get a load fo calls. Every time I advertise something I get calls and texts with bullshit offers. I advertised a little fiat a few months ago and I had loads of half price offers. One guy wanted the gearbox out of it. I advertised a nsr 125 as not going and had a flurry of calls from people wanting to see if they could get it going before the bought it. My answer was no problem but if you do happen to get it running I wan another €200. It’s better than any lonely hearts site. JJH

I can do better than that, I advertised an exhaust from my K1200GT at €550, one of the pictures showed the tail end of the bike.
One guy sent me a text asking if it included the bike!
Re: add, i couldn't find it.
 
It’s just surprising that nobody contacted him even to tell him it’s too dear! Maybe he removed the add? JJH

I concur. Put it on DD and your phone will ring with the weirdest offers or you get txt messages offering less than halve...don;t like using DD myself although have sold various items on it.

I find honestly goes a long way...if it's advertised as 'mint' in Ireland please take that with a pinch of salt...

Here folks,
I agree pictures are not the best, but I put a lot of effort into detailing the work I did to it.
Yes it's old, but I specifically picked that model as it's the last big gs before the canbus system.
Maybe the abs and pait is an issue? Didn't bother me, I may get try fix them and then resell.
Finally... Maybe it's priced too high, I'd live to keep it, maybe I'm pricing myself out? What do you think us a fair price?

I do have unused wolfman soft panniers... Could include them I suppose?
