Not cheap in Italy

Does that mean our uk bikes depreciate quicker?
Also no wonder insurers write off nearly new bike at the click of the finger.

Cars and bikes depreciate way quicker here....as 'we' like shiny new things, the latest bike etc so their 2nd hand prices plummet.

Gents. You've missed a crucial detail. Our weather here is shit. We salt or roads and many ride all year.

The consequences of this is our bikes deprecate more quickly. Simple.

in all honesty I do have to comment here that bikes in the mediterranean last way better and for longer. I have had bikes 18 years old and older in near mint condition simply because her they rarely see rain, and never see salt....Also the value of a second hand bike sometimes varies in correlation to how expensive it is to buy a new bike....For example A 2018 FJR1300 here new with luggage would cost in the region of 22000 euros, so a second hand FJR for 13000 or less (depending on year) becomes a very good deal. In fact i will not sell my 2008 FJR for precisely that reason....it is simply too expensive to replace

Hmmm ... Ride a bike down. Flog it. Cheap flight back. :D summer hol paid for! Until Brexit anyway.
