Not just the wasser can have a quickshifter.

Am I supposed to be able to see quickshifter buttons on the bars, or is the system activated by the gearshift lever itself? And does the system give smooth gearchanges like you get with a normal bike- Suzuki/Yamaha chain drive (not Honda! thy're as bad the BM!)

Most people who have cut me up have incurred the wrath of my left indicator........ Gotta love BMW switchgear :D

No - QS buttons aren't on the bars
Yes - activated through the gear shift lever/ecu
Yes - my gear changes are slick

:D

I Had one of these on my Hayabusa, great bit of kit for a sports bike but not sure for a GS tho

I'd pay for the smooth gear change, speeding up the gearchange by a few milliseconds- can't say that would bother me as I don't visit Santa Pod that much. Looks like a neat piece of kit, if the electronics fail does the unit just default to a normal clunky change?

Where did you purchase it ?

Look on the translogic website or give em a call, i buy mine thro HPS but i do know David @ Translogic because i did the wiring instructions for them on the fitting for the WC gs.

Translogic if you want the stand alone kit as per my picture, (i think Keith also has the translogic) if you have a power commander you can buy there own shifter and plug it into the PC = plug n play.

Yep Dynojet shifter just plugs into the PC so you will not have to wire it in, plug USB lead into the PC and just activate the shifter or when you buy the PC unit ask the dealer to activate the quickshifter option for you, (the retailer will order it directly from dynojet and they will activate it for you)

You will want the push type shifter as well .
