How is life with the GTS 1000, do you still have it ?

Yes- and it’s a hoot from my normal boxer engined rides
There’s no discernible dive st all- very flat and the steering is just so precise there no oversteer at all
Unfortunately I need an alternator or voltage regulator done it’s just given up the ghost
But for 1500 quid it’s a hoon to ride

Find and check the connector block for the regulator/rectifier.
It's very common for corroded contacts to cause poor or non charging, and even to lead to melting of this block.
If you find this (particularly among the three alternator wires, usually three yellow or white wires) just chop the block out and reconnect with male/female bullets.

i had a new red one when they came out in 1993, i had it for 9 yrs and sold it on really regretted it, always wanted another 1 i ended up with a blue one that had 3000 miles on it in 2012 i still have the blue one, MCN did a 4 page spread on the 20 yr anniversary of the gts they used my bike for the mcn
4 page write up
they had it a week did the shoot, and brought it back to me.
