Not really a road trip, apart from it's a trip on the road...

wow, they've only developed a piss-on-o-meter trust the germans they've made a thing you piss on and it analisyes it... and should prevent heaps of medical issues for blokes of a certain age...

how clever is that....

trust the germans to come up with the pissen und sheissen tests...!

well, that place needs a lick of paint ....

Nice to see that's still there

had a long walk around the woods, the only place i'm interested in is under water... so that's a waste of time....

I did find these things ... the rusty can things are a something... I can't really remember what they are...? it's not farming equipment... anyway it's a crystal cold night, will have a look tomorrow but doubt it changes anything.

Different and unusual trip report - thanks for posting, makes for some interesting reading 👍

I'm going to run the detector over the bits, I can get to... might as well, I've also requested access to some stuff from the local authority. Get copies of maps and stuff.

not much is written about about the northern rat run, or the interim german government of dornitz etc. which lasted a month and did as it liked pretty mucg unchallenged

Plus i'm still going over my aunts documents... which are strangley fascinating, being personal diaries of what is a lost generation.

Fair old chunk of real estate, Not exactly Hogwarts, this is plon castle, my dad's room was on the left side. On the edge of very imaginatively name the "Great Lake of Plon". which as you can guess is rather large...

The Castle aka Land sits of Palace. This was former Family seat of Dukes of Holstein it was later given as a wedding present to the Dukes fo Schleswig which then finally joined the two houses and made them the part of the European royals at the junction of England, Germany, Russia, Danemark and Sweden... to as per their motto "never be divided"

further reading the schleswig holstein problem, such a small area yet at the cross roads to so many different opinions.

my knee has been playing up, since I gave it another twist in the woods... so I'm going to bin this trip off...

hadn't had a apple cake and coffee in ages...

Still working on my treasure hunting plan... but it's too wet to carry on, in the that location. Which makes a cuppa and cake a good idea I drove up to Soerup to have a look where the Dornitz Train was abandoned and ransacked by people or persons unknown... obviously that's long gone but the physical barriers to get there it does make an interesting side step. In historical terms away.

As a place to ride a motorcycle the Huettenberger below Plonen is nice, it's a quirky place with a whole load of things to look at.

The awkward moment, when it appears all treasure hunting has been abandoned.... in favour of a plain old fashioned booze cruise...!

we have

Flensburger Gold a light summery larger
Flensburger Pils a slightly heavier hoppy brew
Flensburger Strand a beer to drink while on the beach (just don't try to swim or operate machinery afterwards)
Flensburger Fruehlings (spring) Bok limited edition run usually gone before I get some... this stuff kicks your head in, in a gentle and caring manner

been reading what little is written about the Northern Rat Run and as there's so little, I'll have to return to this in the summer....

currently winnings

VW spicy ketchup... (sort curry sauced, really good)
Pickle mustard sounds horrendous but it's really good... on Bratties....
and then assorted spicy pickles with chillies, honey and chilly and spiced herbs....

the main topic is that there where a few submarines tucked away in the Geltinger bay the bit by the Flensburger Fjord.... which uis all near to the abandoned Dornitz Train.... which was ransacked....

these subs where meant as routes fo escape for anyone with portable wealth to do one.... either to head to sweden or where ever....

the rainbow "Regenbogen" command was later sent to skuttle them but is does still points towards there being amongst all the other stuff that's tucked away in this region things to look for and a greater chance of tripping over it....

as nobody in their right mind throws things into deep austrian lakes without the means to recover these items....

I am a fan (of sorts) of the AI generated ‘DDR Mondbasis’ with its make believe 60’s / 70’s ‘East German moon base’.

They have an endless fascination with ‘gurke’….

can't believe it they dropped "gurke des jahres" (gerkin of the year)

they where really good....

the medicinal properties of the humble gurke is nearly as well known as the kaiser mops. the super special rollmops (pickled herring)

I may have had a few....

without the kaiser the UK would never have had a seaside holiday... so the general importance of being german should never be forgotten.....

well getting back to the thread it was the robbery of the german royals, by the early UK SF.... and them doing a runner with the loot.... that had caused this culinary
interlude....

right I'm off for a snooze.... been coughing up stuff that's a cross between window putty and blomange

just had to look up the world most ugly revolvers.... turns out they cost 3 million dollars

shit the actual bed.... obviously for the dishcloth and fanbelt... market
