The bike was running beautifully a fortnight ago. I took the cover off today to give her a run now the cold and wet has departed for a few hours. For some reason she seemed to run very rough, fast idle even after 18 miles of open road at a steady sort of 50-60mph. The throttle fell off if trying to cruise at low throttle opening and she seemed to be either hunting or stuttering, I couldn't quite work out which. Anyone any ideas for me to look at please? New plugs about 2000 miles ago along with full service. Is it just because she has been stood outside and needs a bit more of blowing the cobwebs away? It has only been a couple of weeks since I used her and that was a full tank day ride.

There is nothing obvious amiss, she picks up her skirts when the throttle is opened and pulls happily from 40mph in top.:confused::confused:

Leave the ecu unplugged overnight.

Ignition on. Open and close throttle twice. Ignition off.

Ignition on leave a few seconds and don't touch the throttle leave it ticking over until hot .

Never touch the throttle when you start it.

Running sweet as a nut again now - the throttle twiddly trick has done it.

many thanks. :thumby:
