My apologies if this has been covered but, I searched all over for some help with this but couldn't find anything.
Yesterday I got me a HID kit and put it in my 2010 gs. Everything went smoothly.... Light is great etc etc. I have the ballast mounted under the beak, so the rear of the ballast is almost touching the light bar with the connections coming out toward the oil cooler. The ballast is forward of the light bar.
This is only for a couple of days, I am waiting on some extension leads to be shipped to me and then I will mount it in the charcoal canister area, the leads were about 3cm too short...
Forecast is rain for the next couple of days and my question is, will the rain will get in and wreck my shiny new ballast?
It seems well sealed and is designed for bikes (got it from a reputable bike accessory dealer). One lead has triple rubber lip type things to keep the water out and the other is a silver coloured screw thingy.
I have never used HID's before so don't know how water resistant the ballast etc might be. Any info you guys might give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Pete
