Tyres

What is the tyre of choice for a 1200 TC. I like the idea of some dirty roads and some loose stuff but I suppose in all honesty 90% of the time I will be on tarmac.

There is no correct, or single answer. You either go "Road tyres", & Conti, Michelin, Dunlop & others make fine road tyres, or you choose the "Trail look" & the same manufacturers offer similar tyres; Tourance, Trail Attack etc etc. There is a third way, with out & out off-road tyres, but I suspect you don't want that.

Try the search button fella tyre threads are ten a penny on here. and it depends on GSA or GS and what did it have fitted when you got it?

Heidenau Scouts or Mitas E-07's are an excellent dual purpose tyre and probably 70% road and 30% dirt capability. TKC80's are another popular choice but are more 50/50.

In all honesty, road based tyres like tourance, road attacks, annakee's etc are as good as useless on anything other than dry dirt if you want to feel nice and secure.
