Just had a look at Overlanders page on FB

Are they both bike shippers and a bike dealer ?

Seems a well run and progressive business

On a side note - we are all fed up with 2020

Are their tours open to British residents too ?
 
They are both tour and transport organisers. I have used both on multiple occasions. Total recommendation.
One can use them to transport a bike from Ireland to Europe and back again, or also have a guided tour with them.
For example, they have a depot in Memmingen, and one can have bike transported there at start of year,
leave it there indefinitely, and fly out multiple times to use it. Depot is within walking distance of airport.
Guided tours:
Most of Europe, Morocco, South Africa, South America, Vietnam. Where would you like to go? And stay in
superb accomodation.
Anyone is welcome to go with them.
They also have a bike and accessory shop in Gorey, Co. Wexford.

What I've learnt in my relatively short time on here is that no one really gives a fuck about topics that are locked and those who start another on the same subject only do so to either wind folk up or to shit stir.
 
It's a shame the original 'conversation' went the way it did as I was genuinely interested in how anyone has, apparently, managed to spend so much time touring in Europe over the past few months. My interest was driven by a simple desire to know whether and how, if things are not much improved in 2021, I could (re)start wandering around Europe (including Ireland) with a clear conscience, knowing that I would be in compliance with all relevant Covid restrictions.

That said, I would not simply do so without also giving due consideration to a number of other factors such as the health of my immediate family.

I remember posting that on FB. It was not calling him out. I'm of the opinion that "Essential Travel" was in question here. I sent him a PM this time as I felt it was appropriate. I could have gone on his FB page but decided a PM was better manners.

I agree with you Cabby. I decided to close it after 24 hours as it had run it's course and there was no need to leave it open for keyboard warriors with rude comments.

Stanford, sadly conversations here suffer from keyboard warriors a lot of the time. The comment made about me "pissing myself in front of the TV" was just typical of this. Considering the person I posted about runs a motorcycle shipping company that needs people to travel he missed the mark by not mentioning Covid or isolating etc in different regions.

Mide, I notice you don't have a PM facility here so I can't message you. I closed my thread so won't be commenting here further. I didn't say you had dumped your toys from the pram, as I posted above my thread had run for 24 hours and had given me a fair spread of opinions.
 
I probably should've added, I'm not keen on topics being locked just cause it's not going the way the OP had hoped it would.

The reason you have annoyed me so much is you previously got involved in my business and took it on yourself to message Overlanders/ami (Reinharts) on my behalf. I had posted genuine concerns and complaints on this site and you made it very personal against their family by insulting one of their sons. I had to contact them subsequently and apologise stating they were not my views, they were yours.

Your a narcissist, a busy body and plain ignorant. This proves it yet again.

You also appear to have some type of vendetta against the proprietor of Overlanders/AMI.

They are good people doing their best to build a successful business as a family.

Get a life!

What makes you think he cares about your opinion of him ?

He probably doesn't yet you felt it necessary to tell the world, get over yourself FFS.
 
He feels it necessary to tell the world how he feels about others, so I am quite justified in telling him how I feel about him.

He has interfered in my business and I doesn’t bother me if he cares in the slightest. This is a public forum. I’m not saying anything I can’t back up.

And he has repeatedly voiced his opinions in a destructive and back handed way about a company who are doing their best.

That’s my point, I’m not going to start at you. I don’t know you, and you don’t know the situation, even though you decided to Wade in in his defence.

Maybe you should stay out of it “FFS”.
 
And.... in he’s last thread where he started all this shite, when there was a bit of a disagreement with his opinion, he closed the thread...

I didn't wade in at his defence at all, all I said was you felt it necessary to wade in and publicly slate him, I didn't much the same as I didn't feel it necessary he waded in to the guy he refers to nor did I feel it necessary for him to lock the topic.

Unless you haven't worked it out, I haven't taken anyone's side, I'm giving my tuppence worth on what I read. :okay
