Noticeable difference in broadband speeds

I am being offered an upgrade in broadband speed from my current provider (BT) at 6mb to a new provider (KC) at minimum 12.5mb to 16.5mb maximum. Obviously it seems to be at least double the speed but is this something that is noticeable in real life usage? It's around the same price too but wondering if its worth the hassle involved and the grief of using a new company. Anyone had any experience of KC?

Seeing as BT network delivers all bb apart from Virgin I fail to see how a company can offer double the speed unless you are on a capped product with bt.
I've just upgraded to infinity. Browsing slightly faster but downloading obviously very quick. The noticeable difference is that you can be doing a lot of high usage things at once with no issues such as streaming etc.

KC I assume you are near Hull ?

The only way you would see an improvement (unless being artificially held to a slow speed) is if your physical connection changes. This is possible I guess if currently connected to a BT connection which will be transferred to a Kingston Communications connection ?

KC used to get bad reviews don't know if things have changed.

Yes, it will be a completely new connection and apparently they have their own exchanges which are much faster than BT's. If I do not get the advertised speeds I can cancel apparently.
