What don’t you like about the headlights?

The lights are appalling compared to the GS. Auxiliaries are essential.

The comment about floodlights...no, they aren’t are they. Not floodlights. No. They’re barely adequate in my view. The cornering function is just a gimmick and in a corner, at speed, almost worthless. Engineered for low cost manufacture.

So far, in my experience, the best lights ive ever had were on a Yamaha YP400 scooter, an LC RT and the GS.

Try adjusting the height. Some bikes have had them set low from the factory.

This ^^^ if you have halogens. Don't know what bike you have? 1290SA by the sound of it?

The lights on my 1190 are not great, but they are better than was fitted to my Hexhead GSAs.

Yeah, my 1190 had then set too low from the factory as well.

Once properly adjusted, they were way better than my old GS (TBH though that's not much competition given how shite the GS lights were).

I now run Cyclops LEDs in both beams and really couldn't want for more, they are stunning.

However, none of this probably applies as the poster has a 1290 with LED lights
