My Arse !!!

My Arse !

Thanks Ted for the route on Sunday, cracking day and scenery. Sorry we bailed out towards the end, as it was we still covered about 290 miles and my arse was killing me on the last stretch home.

I think that I will be looking to purchase a gel seat or something to improve the comfort for those longer days in the saddle.

The ice cream was very nice if not a bit too much after that large meal !

Vicki enjoyed it too, but was knacked when we got back and I had to revive here with beer.

(I know that the grass needs cutting and there are lots of weeds in it, but I would rather be out on the bike than gardening !)

Thanks guys, good day out. See you at the next meeting.

Thanks to you all. Hope there was somthing there that you want to go back and have another look at. Enjoyed the company, nice to meet every one. A bit nerve racking at the front though. Must put the whole route on gps next time,(and put in a few more stops) a couple of big roundabouts were just small junctions last time I was up there. Not good with 4 bikes thundering up behind you.
Sorry we missed you Colt, Devils bridge was packed. Must have been 4/500 bikes there.
Did you make it home ok Daz? Hell of a long day for you. If you fancy a ride out one Monday just mail me(Rutter Falls!!). Glad you liked the ice cream Silence, should have warned you about the food portions up there, ment for hungry farmers. That open sandwich Lou had could have fed a small family. Could have just crashed out by the river and slept it off.

Did you manage to miss the traffic on the M6 Silence? must have filtered 7/8 miles or more. Was that Rollo doing his courier impersonation up front ducking and diving. Any one see that bike with all the camping gear on the back, looked like a world tour job, mad.
See you all at the next Broughton Arms meeting. Remember no talking or laughing during the very serious pub quiz. We going to have to start a world championship UKGSer all conquering pub quiz team. That would realy upset them.
Could be the start of a new category in the forum. Pub quiz questions and answers!

Once again thanks to you all for a fantastic day :) :) :)

Good company, good roads, good weather. Perfect :helmet

Damn, missed this run.
Saw a vintage rally at Goostrey and then went out priesheath etc.

Damn again.

"Was that Rollo doing his courier impersonation up front ducking and diving?"

No. it was terrifying up there. Something quite eerie happened. I was suddenly riding into my own shadow which on a North-South road in the daylight is more than a little unusual. So I pushed on like the wind to get out of the way of Judgement Day.

Was later at the M61 junction that I realised it was the 6 lights that Rushy was shining on my back !! At 400 yards it looks like an Exocet bearing down.

Good job this black Adventure is quick enough to break away from his GS.
