NTL "free" 2 meg upgrade

Apart from the fact that I was without broadband and email for a week after NTL screwed up the 2 meg upgrade I've now got my bill and I'm being charged 24.99 rather than the 17.99 I have been paying.

Has anybody else had the upgrade and were you charged extra?

Mines always been 24.99, even when I was on the 750 speed. Same now I'm on 2 MB.

The BT upgrade last year from 1MB to 2MB was free. Its in all their interests to have us on fast connections, then they can serve us films, tv and IP telecom stuff. If you live in a heavily populated area, look at Bulldog http://www.bulldogbroadband.com/

When posting statements like this, you should give ALL the information... the £17.50 per month is only an offer price, lasting 5 months, then you go up to the full price of £29.50 per month..

Not quite as rosey as it seems!!
