Number plate storage unit

Hi Guys. Apologies for my absence in replying to request for these units. I'm just coming to the end of a very intensive 4 month training course and have not had much time at home or spare time in general to even look at my mails. I still have around 15-20 of these units from the first batch which just require building up. If anyone does fancy a unit then drop me a mail and I should be able to start getting them out within a few days. I'm in the Oldham area if you fancy a ride out to collect or can post as per previous orders. I'll clear these at £75 + Postage

Cheers, Mark.:beerjug:

have you had any feedback from one of these being fitted to a bike with the vario panniers, ie no cross bar for additional support,

was thinking just puncture repair kit, nothing heavy :D

I ran mine for a few months last year without a cross member on while my frames were away for powder coating with out any problems....:robAny feed back on this issue guys if you have fitted one of these units or any other opinions regarding the box...

Hi Mark, will you have a set to ship out of UK??
can you please email me the shipping cost at [email protected]

thanks!!!

Mark, I'm up for one of these, for sure. Please, would you let me have a quotation for postage to me at post code 2540, here in AU?

A.

Just fitted my 'box'. Very well made, watertight and big enough to carry compressor, stop and go plugs, vehicle documents and riders handbook.
Far more useful than a tool tube and a lot easier to fit!

Thanks Mark:thumb

I'm away from home again for next two weeks so there will be a short delay before I can post any more units it's out.. I'll take a look at cost for shipment to you guys not in UK.. Can you mail me your details and we can take it from there...

As for the illumination of the plate... I have done a small deflector which sits on top of the box and deflects the light on to the plate...it's away with the manufacturer at the mo and should be available soon... That's the easy way or if you wanted a hard wired option I have looked into a few LEDs on brackets which could be used if you wanted to go down that route of fitting...I could take that further if there is some interest in That??

As for having the lock on the top I agree it would have been better and more hidden but it wasn't possible due to the light blocking access to the key... I looked at putting it underneath with the hinges at the top but came to the conclusion that you would empty the contents of the box every time you opened it....I think the box has turned out quite well and I'm very happy with the design and usability of it...

fitted mine today, took maybe 30 min and looks great, just got stop and go puncture kit and couple cannisters of co2,

very well made and its sort of hidden away which should keep it safe and sound.

delivered couple days after payment (in the uk)

cheers mate:thumb

Had the unit fitted for a few weeks now. Bike is used daily and with all the rain we've had and the exposed location I opened up the box this morning to see if any water had got in. Bone dry, not a drop. I've P clipped it to my TT rack brace and it's rock solid.
Great product, thanks Mark.

Now if you could find the time to make a lockable box to fit in place of the pillion seat without costing an arm and leg I'm sure you'll get a lot of interest!!

Do you really think there would be any interest in this. I have considered it but isn't there already a product from a guy in America which addresses this??

Yes Mark I think there would be an interest at the right price.
The tailgunner looks good, especially the painted one but by the time you've imported it the cost becomes prohibitive.

I have a top box, it's really useful, but I dislike the look, especially on the GS because it sits too high, I also rarely fill it. A lockable box that clips on in place of the pillion seat would be far more useful for me. Yes TT do a bag that clips in place but I'd like somewhere reasonably secure for sat nav, iPad etc.

Maybe metal is not the right material, too boxy? What do you think?

I'd be interested - particularly if it was a good price!
