Nurburgring Nordschleife weekend dash

Are there instructed days there, i remember in the past reading about nurburgring riders club but don't think they're still active. Wonder what it would cost to book a bunch of tossers with an instructor for a morning?

Booked for this weekend, cheap as chips!

Try Neil Leigh at http://www.aeaventures.com/ he runs a B&B at Moulin de Ruy near Spa about an hour from the ring and he is an instructor on the ring for the english speaking courses he will take you round and show you a few lines if you stay at his B&B plus he is a great guy and the B&B is spot on

Have a great time - just don't fall off or crash. Prolly more relevant for cars I know but ...

Optional extras available at additional cost include armco repairs, safety car attendance, vehicle recovery, track closure, hospital stays and helicopter rides. I recommend avoiding these. If you can't, then the following price-list may help:

Base fee for attendance of armco truck: €150
Removing damaged armco: €10/metre (x2 or x3 or x4 for multiple-height sections)
Replacement armco: €31/metre (x2 or x3 for double/triple height)
Removing damaged armco posts: €5.10 each
Replacing armco post: €39 each
Safety car attendance: €82 per 30 mins (car + 2 people)
Circuit closure: €1,350 per hour
Recovery truck: €190 (inc VAT)
Hospital stay & air ambulance: Let's just say, do NOT go there without travel insurance! (Though a European Health Card - which replaced the E111 - may cover the hospital bit.)
Everything except the recovery truck is then subject to 19% VAT

Oh - and on-board photography and video of any kind is uber verboten, so Gunz is gonna have to unload his cinematic kit (or hide it very well!)

Been on with both of my cameras in the horrible waterproof (bright orange) cases. 1 was on my helmet & other on backend of bike the officials didn't say anything to me. And they clearly new what I was doing!

Cheers G, I pull out of the gates & 20 meters up road stick my camera on my helmet. I might get black flagged but I will get one decent -10minute lap for my youtube account! Before been banned for the rest of the day]

There are many harbingers of doom about @The Ring. Tis all true but I know my ability is beyond doubt with 25k under my belt on me bike.

Roll on the weekend. :cool

Paddy - I think it's an awesome place - just be careful (did I sound like your Mum then? haha)

The blurb I quoted came from HERE not from any personal experience lol..

Did anyone see that Top Gear thing where the rather tasty German girl in a Transit beat Clarkson's time in a Jag ...?
