Easton injured

IN a North West 200 practice session earlier today Stuart Easton and Gary Mason were involved in a crash that has left the Scot rider with a suspected fractured right leg and pelvis.

The collision between the two MSS Colchester Kawasaki riders took place in a practice sesson this morning, with the two coming together in a high-speed crash at Station Road.

Gary Mason was able to walk away from the crash and Easton, who is the fastest man around the NW200 course hitting 204mph last year, was taken to Causeway Hospital.

Technical Director Mervyn Whyte said: “Stuart Easton and Gary Mason were involved in an incident at Station Road during the first practice session this morning. Stuart Easton has been taken to Causeway Hospital with a suspected fractured right leg and pelvis. Gary Mason was able to walk away. Further updates will be issued in due course."
