Seen as our vibrant :augie monthly windmill meet has fizzled into none existence, why don't we find a new RV point and put some new life into the rather dwindling NW section?

:beerjug:

end of the month was a bit difficult for us as we'd be at bike meets every night of the week. :jager

I would have turned up but it clashed with another bike meeting so never made it.
If it was at another venue on another night then I could be interested. :thumb2

a little more north with a easy to get to :),

pub where you can see you bike ;)

http://www.allpubs.co.uk/pub/5887 Fiddle I'th Bag Inn

this pub has the odd bike out side , beer not over priced either

what night you thinking about young Steve ?
oh most important the place does food ..so jono will like the venue:D

it's not far from the junction where B & Q is off the M62 (junction 9 ) or you can get off at junction 22 M6

nowt writed in stone we could try a few different venues until we find one with a big enough kicthen to cook enought food to please mind ,jonos and flipflys bellies

If you want any further north, the New Hall Tavern is just off J31. Good beer, good food, plenty of parking, walking distance for me... But Warrington is probably more central

Up until recently the weather was shite which may have put some people off and and then more recently nobody seems to have been 'driving' it . Would have turned up in April but what with all the Bank Holidays etc didnt realise the last Tuesday was last week.:blast Presumably the holidays may have stopped others from coming too.:nenau

Bit of history : we started the meet in Alsager originally in 04 but attendances were lowish and after about a year it was suggested that we moved it to the Whipping Stocks just south of Knutsford which we did but that was not much better.

Then somebody, might have been Malc , mentioned that the Windmill, which had just been renovated, could be a better venue so we moved it there and for the next few years attendances were much better due to the accessability i.e. very easy to find, great for Mancs and scousers too, not far from almost all of Cheshire, parts of North Wales & the Wirral. Handy for a lot of Lancashire too thanks to the M6 being right next door although a boring ride unfortunately.

Where did you have in mind :thumb

No where in particular. Terry's idea might not be a bad one as the location is pretty much central to the NW and right in the middle of all motorway networks, so good from Preston, Merseyside, Manc, Cheshire...etc

Personally I don't have a problem with the Windmill and location. Like you say, maybe just needs someone to 'drive' it each month......

I like the Windmill.......

Especially the one with the massive tits...(barmaid that is..)

:thumb2

Could it have more to do that adventure biking is not cool anymore and people have either sold their bikes, had babies, turned into fair weather bikers or moved away.

Like Steve Says the Windmill is a good venue. I hope to be back in the GS fold as soon as I raise the rest of the cash for the 850 I've put my name too :D

I'll attend any new meets though in my passion wagon though

Windmills fine:thumb just the days wrong for me:blast sunday or friday would be much better personally:D am sure it will pick up again now the fine weathers here:thumb2

the venue could do with a barmaid with big tits..:)
plus the place would need to do food, (and pay before you get it so no other person gets the bill );)

i think we need to think about the folk coming from the more north parts of area are taken into account:)

like i said we may need to try a few different venues out.. it could even give people a better reason for get out ... then after visting a few venues we could take a vote on it...you never know we could even end up back at the windmill..

ok, lets go for next friday....so tarry can make it:D i need a good laugh at what he is wearing on his feet these days :D

no to windmill ..................yes to bikepub

shall we give it ago ?... but it will take folk turning up , to make this work.
i'm sure alot of use are busy etc ...but lets give it ago with out lots of reminders and effort from only one person, (aka rushy) did alot of reminders etc to make it happen each month for years .. so see you there.. just in case you are not sure who i'm .
the thin good looking chap with all my own hair :beerjug:

I know the pub, and "Mad mile", used to live in Newton. :D
Don't know if I can make it on Friday though.
