Pulled my MM out of the shed on a lovely day and turned on the ignition.....nothing, not even the display:eek:

Bearing in mind I've never had a battery go from good to nothing in 4 days, my first thought was that the display had packed up and ££££ flashed before my eyes

To cut a long story it was the battery. As it was on it's 3rd I thought I'd try an Odyssey. After a lot of different tales on ADVr I fitted a PC545. £75 off baywatch
Easy job once I'd dropped the rear shock, even the existing battery clamp works.
What a difference, the starter motor nearly fires the engine out of the frame:thumb
No longer have to worry about 'will it start in front of all these bikers' anymore

The only problem is, it's bright red, they don't make black ones any more

Hi Andre

They are both the same AFAIK. I tried to buy a black and red one but was told they no longer make them, it does stand out:eek:. Maybe you'll have more luck.

Just buy the cheapest, they are very good batteries

isn't the orange bit just a steel case over the black one?

maybe it comes off?

The OE Battery on my MM failed just before the Warranty ended. I had to have another OE one as a replacement . Thanks to your misfortune,at least i know that an alternative is available when (not if . . . .:augie) the inevitable happens.
