Route 66!, you'll think is this it!!. They are ideal for the US, dead straight roads
and it's BIG no roundabouts or tight bends so lay back and enjoy!, 'aint been there since 2007 so am VERY envious. Wait till you get to Monument Vally as in the picture you'll be expecting John Wayne and a troop of Cavelry to come around the rocks any minute!.

youll be ok americans think a french fry is a vegetable ,allso try and get to the wigwam motel,its fascinating to see concrete wigwams,its just off route 66,you can stay in them .
this is ,them ,there small but cosy.

We stayed at the ones in Holbrook. A rather peculiar "hotel manager" and plenty of worst for wear locals.
these ones might have been at holbrook ,i cant remember,i didnt stay there as it didnt run right time wise ,but stopped to photograph them ,and met a nice swiss guy ,who was doind route66 on a rented harley .
i think some of it has dissapeared,and some has moved .

Just ridden Route 66 from Amboy to Needles CA. Then we picked it up again in Kingman and rode to Williams AZ. We also took a quick detour and picked a bit of it up at Flagstaff AZ 
I can recommend Williams as a place to stop. The main street is very kitsch but fun and there are loads of bikes there. Seligman is also a good location :cool

Loads of it is missing, you have to take detours on Interstates all over the place
Well just picked the bike up from the Harley dealer... a 2011 Ultra Glide Classic in black. Good ride back before tomorrows ride begins in earnest.
Felt lighter than the GS, and love the engine. I think this might be an expensive trip...
