Off/On Road Tyres

I've got Karoos' on a TE610 Husky - they were supplied with the bike.

Never ridden on knobblies before but they seem alright on tarmac. Only problem is I've not enough confidence in the big blocks to push things too far on the road. I'd feel happier with more rubber on the road.

The rear will need replacement at around 2000 miles. I'm fitting Pirelli Scorpions next.

They're brilliant off road, but howl like stink around 48mph and dont like wet tarmac. They also get very nervous when worn right down, the rear on mine was tramlining like mad last week just before I replaced it; very unnerving . Got TKC80s as they're a better compromise IMHO. I would have tried Heidenaus this time but couldn't find a supplier.

Regards, Mick

TK80s last longer and stick better on the road/dirt

Karoo's better on the dirt, don't last as long and seem to be teflon based for road use
