Leave a bit earlier this time - start 10am at Fleet services, on the M3 ( by the cafe area, not the petrol station), then 1030am countess services, on the A303 Amesbury junction .

As last time, all welcome, begineers, experienced, knobblies or tourance .

sod the ace cafe this sunday, the clocks go back soon, lets make the most of the daylight .

Best day out I have had in years. I will definately be at Fleet on Sunday.

Guys,

Nearest I've been to off road is 1/2 mile up a 4 x 4 chalk track, and that was an accident :tosser . I've a 1150 GS with Tourance tyres, more worrying I have no crash bars. :eek Not sure whether to risk it (or me) Convince me, even then I may have other obligations. excuses..........excuses.

You'll be one of many - you won't know till you try it . And you won't get much easier and so varied off road - perfect for begineers

Just look HERE

I'm going to follow the TRF guidelines - and make the next outing top secret .

:D

Safety in numbers though...the cops, etc were awfully nice about everything...

But smaller numbers mean no cops or landrangers - the last vivsit turned into a zoo when everyone reached the slopes - people going up as people coming down, and most of them hadn't a clue what was at the top, they all got a little bit to excited, hence the concern of the landranger, and told to leave the area - We should have grouped at the bottom, some experienced guys gone to the top and used just a couple of slopes and got everybody up to the top - i was the last to arrive after making sure no one was lost, and as i set eyes on the mayhem, it was looking like an accident waiting to happen -
Also take a longer route to get to the slopes, so the begineers/ 1st timers can find their feet riding on the different surfaces . Instead of riding along a fairly easy firm track and thinking thats all there is to it - as the two broken ankles confirmed -

Rant over :D

Just got back from several hours on the plain - you may be interested to know that the Land Wardens/Police are now fully aware of "the advertisment" (their term) published on the GS Club Forum (which also has a link here) - they now monitor the tank training area more than they used to - we managed a short time on the little slopes and didn't even make it to the big slopes before "having a bit of a chat with them"
They also maintain a "shit list" of Reg numbers - looks like you get told to feck off once; the second pull will get you a ticket.
