Our friends at the Blue Light Off Road Club have the use of the track at Bagshot again on Sat 26th May for 4x4's and Sun 27th May for Bikes.

I went to the last one in March (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1077), and it was a hoot.

It's not often you get to ride challenging single track legally....and was a right hoot. Last time round it was £45 per bike, but given what I just said about the single track, I think its worth it. Hopefully the weather will be better this time (i.e. rain & snow at the last event).

Suitable for all bikes, GS or Enduro bikes.

Sign in as per link above and drop a note here.

Will try and make it myself, but TBC.

Mike.

Will be there - taking a group from the Loddon Vale TRF. Mike are you GS'ing or KTMing?

See you there. (there is also mereworth woods tomorrow ....)

That's down the end of my road. I may have a wander down there with the camera.:beerjug:

Not far from me either. As im absolutely shit in conditions any more severe than a puddle I think I'll just take myself and a camera. Dont have offroad tyres anyway. Rich, if you want to PM me we can meet up for a chinwag first, maybe even a coffee and a sticky bun!!!!.

What a super area this place is. I did a 3 stage enduro race here on 22nd April. Some waist deep puddles to watch out for tho.:D

Yeah, I'll be up for that.:beerjug:

That's a 10 minute walk for me too...

I won't be riding because swmbo's away for the day and I'll have the little fellas with me.

But, if anyone's going to be there early afternoon on Sunday please do let me know as I'd love to come and chew the fat.

Think this must be the place i'm doing a run called Brutal10k this Sat 19th. Sounds like fun, but have been told it is pretty much water logged and may require water wings :D

Have fun on your ride:thumb2

Bang on, it's exactly the same place.

What you may not want to hear is that whilst the area is in fact relatively dry because it's largely sandy and drains very well (I run in that area about 4 times per week) you can be absolutely SURE that the Brutal organisers will find some lovely boggy bits... the long immersion tanks where they teach drivers to drive through deep (and cold:green gri ) water should keep you amused...:D

Cool, all part of the fun. I have done the Grim challenge up in Aldershot quite a few times, but that is usually just frozen:blast. I shall be taking my water wings though just in case:thumb2

There are three courses there, the whole thing is quite three dimensional - the Alpine course for example climbs and drops in and out of a small valley giving hairpins at the top of each climb.
There's plenty of gravel track for the adventure bikes and muddy tracks for the enduro boys. Good venue and will suit big adventure bikes on TKC's or similar. (And yes - there are some huge puddles :D). Burger van will be on site too. :thumb2

This looks like a laugh. Any chance this is doable on Ankee's or are full knobblies going to be needed? This is on an 800GS.

Given the weather is pretty good at the mo, I'd say that the main tracks will be more than dooable on adventure tyres. (esp on a lighter 800..). There is plenty of firm stuff to play on without going off piste into the woods.
See yer there! (come and say hello ... !).

Yep I ran there last night, and the main routes are bone dry.

That's not to say that those determined enough won't be able to find a few nasty, slimy boggy bits, too..!

I think Lee Crawley & his son are heading to the shotted bag on Sunday too...keep an eye out for them....:thumb2

I'm hoping to be at the next one, either Mereworth or Bagshot; need to pop my off road cherry....:D:D:D:D

What time are you going Paul? I may wander over at 11.:thumb

Well we popped along this morning. No GS's going round the track, so called it a day and came home.
