Off Road GPS

Looking for recommendations from the collective Tosser wisdom on a good GPS unit for Off Road riding on trails
Presumably OS mapping compatibility is required either as download or SD card?

The Montana seems to be a good unit but there seems to be a number of model options with a variety of features, a number of which I'm not sure just how useful they would be.

Any advice on what folk are using would be much appreciated (apart from join the TRF coz I've already done that)

Is that ordinance survey maps or open source maps , im easy confused
