Hi all

Im a newbie to this site and forums in general so dont really know what Im doing. We do lots of off road riding in Wales and have put together a Coast to Coast ride from the South coast to the North coast of Wales and back - it took a very long time to put together and involved lots of fustrating days using OS maps and working out the best GPS to use - which eventually we found was the Satmap. Reccied it about a month ago and we were gobsmaked how amazing the riding and scenery were. We took some big bikes with us - one of the new Yamaha Teneres and reckon that it would be good for a GS. Anyone interested?

Hi - Welcome to the site.

I think it would be great if there was a ride-out that could be spread over a couple of days to cover some/all of your routes.

I enjoy riding in Wales and take part in the welsh rallyes and am always amazed at the scenery once the clouds clear. I would be cautious of uploading the track log to a public forum but some photos would be great.

great to be in the nuthouse, its Tams .What are you guys doing on this, why arent you out doing something else?

Anyways are you coming on the Coast to Coast? July 30th - Aug 4th its gonna be fantastic!!! Best ride we've ever done, even better than Dakar - in fact a lot better than Dakar no dust, no french or germans (only joking!!) and no horrible ration packs.

BOb, Craig said can he borrow a bike for the Beacons rally? You know he'd love after it and not rev it!

Sounds like a decent ride.....

I think the VDSR and South Wales TRF folk have been running one for the last couple of years.
I've got a plan pencilled in for a similar run, using the 600cc+ bikes with several nights camping involved. This will be a huge figure of '8', with paths crossing in the Vyrnwy area, I've just got a couple of summer foreign trips to get out of the way.
So, Blackdesert, I will look forward to some sort of ride report if your ride occurs first.:thumb2

Timpo.

Sounds great, I can't do the weekend at the end of July but would be very interested if there is a similar ride another day.

I would be up for his, don't suppose its happening in June I have the whole month off on gardening leave.

Will be on ktm 950 SE

Yep

Blackdesert - I'm interested but don't think I can get the whole time you have scheduled.

I could possibly meet you down there and ride up, or meet you up here and ride down; would that be okay?

If so, can you let me know your plans and your preference and we can go from there.

I'll be on a XCh.

Thanks

Gareth

love to do it Tams ..... just cant do it this year ... bw to you and craig .. hope to see you at the beacons if not before

I am very interested but have already booked a day off-roading on 30th July. If the date changes then I am up for it.

Hi Tams

I'm touring SW Ireland with my wife from the 12 to 19th July and then off to the Himalayas on the 3rd August so haven't got the time this year I'm afraid :(

I've got an XR250 Craig can have but he may fall asleep riding it - what about that nice Husquvarna he was looking at :thumb2

Please ignore my previous post - I really, really want to go on this trip and have changed my other plans accordingly - count me in.

£750 - NO CHANCE!

Interesting web-site, but £750  when others organise trips and events on here for free.
