Off-road on the big bikes ???

Had a lovely day out - very enjoyable! Thanks Gerry! Worked out very well, even when Gerry forged ahead leaving us poor mortals on H***as behind we were still able to discern his flourescent yellow suit some miles ahead and link up again :D

Had a lovely day out ..............

Me too.
Strange how the guy who caused it all to happen was not there. I speak of course about Daithi. We did not get mucky sticking to the paved boreens mostly. Killarney to Kilgarvan and on to Bantry by the Borlin valley. Down to Baltimore. Looped back to Bantry and over the Priests Leap; on to Molls gap and down into he Black Valley and the Gap of Dunloe.
God weather and good company - thanks lads.

Ah, would you leave him alone, he was tucked up under his Shreck duvet drinking lemsips.

Thanks for the tour Gerry, some more photos (when I can figure out how to load them) on xrv.ireland.org. Oh and thanks for the tip on how to get 4 days wear out of the underwear, I'll try that.

You did not hear me right - it's 14 days :augie

Merino wool is brill; warm in winter and cool in summer and does not stink - synthetics are grand for warmth but do they stink after one day of hard walking or biking.

So when woulds be the best time for the deferred event. I'm happy to organise one but realise that Kerry is a long way for most of you and that you all lead busy lives. Go on and be saying when is best.

Gerry- would this off road run be suited for an R100GS on tourances? or is it a serow type event? I did the Tipperrary stuff last year and found it a great introduction to offroading the GS but found the slippery stage just about doable and the rest was great, but I wouldn't want to make an ass of myself going off into some bog and burying the poor beast.

Well Bmurr, I'm intending to do it on a ratty old transalp with escapes, how about a deal? I'll drag you out of holes if you do the same for me?

I'm hoping the good Gerry will be gentle with us....:eek

Not this weekend or the next Gerry, or the weekend of 18th, 25th april or the 16th may. Can't think much further ahead than that really! But if it suits the majority to use one of those dates that's cool.

Only if TK attends ;)
I can't remember where I read it but I believe he likes camping so he might make a special appearance. :rob

When would you be thinking of Gerry ? :nenau

Ravenbyrne and Grumpy.....behave.:blast

:D
