Any advice

Looking at following

Mitas E09
Mitas E09 Dakar
Pirelli Scorpion
Pirelli Mt21 rallycross

can get pirelli cheap enough from the visorshop delivered jsut egt them fitted

mitas have get from uk plus post

do mostly trail riting and have pirelli road dual sport tyres, think theoes std scorpions all bole shave. ok on road but slipper as heck on anything other than tar.

plan do least 50/50 riding. road riding will be just out on road tying find tracks to go up

I would recommend E07 at rear, fronts have too low knobs.
It doesn`t offer max grip but as its (at least here) sold for reasonable
price its a good choice for allrounder.

I use MT21's and find them great on most trails & on the road

Ideal for a 50/50 use and for a knobbly they wear well

If you can get them at a good price - fit them

Mitas, Army Special front, E09 rear.
This is only my opinion, having only rode a few miles on roads that have no tarmac on. Beware of expensive alternatives.......

The wear rate of the E09 is far less than the MT21. I reckon the set on my XC today have done twice what I did with the last set of MT21 I used. I did a Portugal trip and Croatia/Slovenia trip with one set of Mitas, and the front Army Special is staying on for this year.
Loz and RickA did simialar trips with their 690ERs and had similar results.
I will not go back to the MT21.
I have a set of E07 tyres on my 1200GSA, and so far so good, having 3500 miles under the belt from a Spain/Portugal trip in August, including the odd gravel track or two.
