For new boots to be fitted, Anakees bought new from this parish:D, annual service , and new ESA under warranty, thank fuck for that warranty:eek:

New jacket and jeans for swmbo, going to be an expensive day:( if I find a shoei hornet, arai tour 4 or bmw helmet that fit too:eek:

Was hoping to follow the coastal road round Norfolk afterwards, but rain will no doubt put pay to that....fucking weather :comfort

Ride out with Reiten BMW - new dealer in Suffolk- :thumby: TT IOM on Tuesday:thumby:

Nice few days ahead:beerjug:

day out

sounds like a plan :D ,That warranty does come in handy at times, thats why i always keep mine going after the 2 year warranty period is up, would have cost me a small fortune some of the things i had done, have a good day and safe ride.

Cheers Dave, it was... damp on the way in, but sunny on the way home.... Great value too, £260 for a service and to fit two tyres... :D..... n/c for the ESA:D

Can't argue with that, bud, but when it doesn't it's nice to know I am not paying out;)... although I guess we all pay for it somewhere in the cost of ownership:rob:eek:

Yep you done the right thing, when my warranty is up, I will do the same, how much does the extended cost in the UK was it through BMW, and what tyres did you put on. :beerjug:

Can anyone explain why BMW in the USA give a 3 year warranty on new bikes, but in Europe only 2 years is given. ?

I had reported the original fault with the ESA at the end of 2017. So within the original 2 years. But £395 to extend it... it's a lot of cash, but my insurance is under £225. So just add it to the yearly running cost:rolleyes: yes, through BMW. I have read that others do it cheaper elsewhere, but I wanted to keep the relationship with BM... my dealer has been excellent over the last 5 years:thumby:

I bought John's Anakees which he took off his bike when new... I like them, and they were a bargain...I just paid the dealer to fit them...:clap:cool

Good deal thanks for the tip on price, I will be doing the same next August, when my warranty runs out, just think if you have their warranty, you might just get a tad more of goodwill...........:D

I went in yesterday... mentioned to the service manager that swmbo fell off the stationary bike when we were in Germany last year, resulting in three tiny little dots (scratches/marks) right in her eyeline on her visor... what a pain. 10 mins later he comes across the showroom to me and Jill with a secondhand visor, in perfect condition, which he had polished, swapped it over,:thumby: toatally FOC.... don't think I would get that service elsewhere... :nenau:bounce1 they really do know how to look after you.... imho:D
