They are actually $350US + shipping & Tax so £220 is quite reasonable

... Paid £235 straight away via Paypal yesterday at 12:18 hours, sent him at least 3 emails, through eBya messages AND normal email, asking him if he'd received payment...

... Radio silence since ...

What kind of guarantee, if at all, do I have re: paying by Paypal???

You must understand that most ebayers are just normal folk buying and selling stuff. The fella you are buying from is not a professional dealer. He’s probably just normal people with a day job, and not sat in front of his PC all day.

I have done over 100 deals on ebay (with no problems yet), and it is quite normal to pay your money, then hear nothing from the seller, then a week or so later your parcel arrives. Some folk just don’t communicate as much as others.

Just give it a day or so for him to respond. You have the security of paying by Paypal, who are pretty good at refunding your money if don’t receive your goods.

At last, I have received the fantastic Offenbach Exhaust I was impatiently waiting for since the 9th of March.

Before saying anything else, a BIG THANK YOU to the seller, Tommy from Lancashire, who went above and beyond the call of duty and sent me the can before he even received any kind of payment.
