First off i'd like to Thank Tim,Tina ,Fritz,Bev,Rich and Chris for coming out on my ride and for making it a special day out.I'd recced part of the route last weekend but i couldn't recce one certain section but i'd been over it on the GSA with tourances on earlier in the year so i wasn't worried ;)

Here's a few pics.
Start of the track and we encountered our first taste of mud.
Tim.

Rich came threw next and had a slight "moment"which i didn't catch on camera but i think Tim might have.:D

Next section was a little slippy ask Bev;)
Tim and Tina make it look easy.

Chris wondering what Tims up to on the tinsel machine.

Due to the last few weeks of rain an easy trail has turned into a hard one.

Before.:)

After :D
173147157-L.jpg

Chris with tourances on rode like a pro most of the time.
Where's your on board camera footage?;)

173147179-L.jpg

Then it was on to a what i thought would be a nice little ford :D

Earlier on in the year it was a little splash.
145561382-L.jpg

Now was a different matter though here's a video.

Oh look whats Fritz up to ?:D

173147199-L.jpg

By now we were really struggling to get any traction.
TKC's and mud don't work.
173147264-L.jpg

So it was feet down and paddle like hell.
173147207-L.jpg

173147224-L.jpg

And when that doesn't work push:D

173147245-L.jpg

It gets really embarrassing when your partner has to push you up the hill :D
Isn't that right Tim.
173159939-L.jpg

But we battled on and made it to the end.
So we headed off to the coast stopping for a smoke break on the way.
173159954-L.jpg

Fuel stop;)
173159970-L.jpg

After mud sand was our next test of will.:D
Great views down the beach.
173159974-L.jpg

173159984-L.jpg

Tim stuck :D
173160000-L.jpg

173160015-L.jpg

Tina's turn.
173160038-L.jpg

Easy peasy.

173160044-L.jpg

Cracking weather.
173160057-L.jpg

The finest 1150GSA you'll come across."my opinion":D

173286324-L.jpg

Then the flippin hill on Dere Street, it didn't look much but it took an hour to get all our bikes around half a mile as there was just no grip.

Here Fritz heads back out of the undergrowth:blast

Fritz rides around South America and says "I've never ridden anything so hard as that fe****g, ba888ng slippy t*8ind mud":D

173290522-L.jpg

We finally got to the top, you saw Forry's pic of Fritz's rear tyre, this was my Tkc showing it's limitations in sticky mud:mmmm
173291230-L.jpg

We stop for fuel at the only pumps suitable for our ageing, old type GSs...naturally there weren't any 12's with us;)
173296435-L.jpg

last year we saw a couple on a yellow GS who had just been shagging in the field here....was it you?:thumb
173297014-L.jpg

173297661-L.jpg

Later we got to the coast and had a fantastic ride through the sand and grassy dunes.
173298398-L.jpg

We stop for a breather/fag and take in the view but there's still a long way to go.
I love this photo:)

Back to Berwick on Tweed for a fish supper....if you think you can't understand Forry's accent you should try understanding the Polish girl in the chippie with her Berwick twang:confused:
173314687-L.jpg

Then a fantastic track in the Lammermuir Hills to end the day before riding back to Kelso, we were overlooking the Firth of Forth to the left of this photo:augie :)
173315417-L.jpg

We arrived back at Kelso at 10pm, knackered, after 12 hours and over 220 miles of fantastic riding where the likes of Stumpy and Ronno forced us to drink their much welcome malt whiskys.

Thank you very much Forry for a stunning day in the very best of company:beerjug:

Great photos but you forgot to take one of the Polish girl?
Forry better take his camara when he goes to get his tea tonight.

OK the inevitable question - where woz all that then? I know the lammermuirs track but none of the others apart from Dere st. Looks like they are all well ridden - are they 'legal' and are you able to point us in the right direction?
