It can be much nicer across the channel but there are still many places to have a great cycle ride in the UK....granted, many town and city centres are best avoided due to your first 4 moans....Traffic.

If you read many of the motorbike trip reports on here...there are those that somehow manage to find the road less travelled. It's dead easy...the same on push bikes. Have a look at the National Cycle Network. Buy an OS map and spend an hour marking all the bridleways and the small lanes linking a few together. It really is that simple....IMHO...but I do like maps, cycling and getting out and about in the great British countryside...of which there is a shitload.
