Went to the Ducati shop with SWMBO for a test ride on the HyperMotard and Multistrada. Sat on the Hypermotard, and her first reaction was "over my dead body". "You look way too big for such a small bike". sputter, sputter, sputter.
Sat on the Strada, and her reaction was "Oh Yeah baby.. that's you". So took out the Strada, and after 100 meters, I knew I was home. 1 hour later, the sales rep had already contact the medical emergency services and cops to find out if I was dead somewhere. I wasn't, I was having a blast. Weather was perfect, sunny, warm, no wind, and headed for the autoroute first to see what 200 kph looks like, then back on the country roads. 7th heaven...
10 minutes later, the bike was mine... I get to pick it up on Monday. I'm not going to tell you folks how much I paid, since it'll make you sick, but I can tell you it help being registered locally as a journalist....
