Oh feck, the top box won't open!!

I've got a 2013 rt with all the panniers blah blah and have got an issue with the top box. I can't open it as the push in button won't move. Bloodily nuisance as my badminton shoes are stuck in there. Anyone had similar issues and is there a fix? And yes it's in the unlock position. I'm sure someone has an answer

I ust to give mine a clout. Seriously I never got on with mine and the button needed a bang with the heel of my hand. Form over function. I have a cheapo one on my 800 GSA it works and it is bigger inside. JJH
