Oh S---!, speed carmera

Coming back from Edinburgh in the car on Saturday on the A1. I know there are loads of cameras but got flashed by one on the other side of the road - facing me The road is marked with lines but i thought that the camera had to be on your side of the road & take a picture from behind.

Anyone know?

Either sounds like a Truvelo camera which takes forward facing pics or a malfunctioning Gatso.

What did the flash look like?

Don't worry about it, they all do that. On the A1 they are all regular GATSO's so no problem, it's only when it 'takes you from behind' you need to worry

It flashed twice like a normal Gatso, i cant recolect seeing any Truvelos on that road

Ach, you should be fine (rather than fined) then. Sounds like a duff Gatso to me.

Mind you, not as duff as the 'road safety' policy behind the damn things rant rant rage waffle bore... Don't start me off!

Went buy a van with a camera out the back , it had yellow lights on the roof and yellow stripes on the rear doors , i was on my bike and i think breaked in time , don't think it was the Police but i was wondering if they write your number down

there are cases were the operator has turned round and taken the bike number down, all depends on how awake the operator was.

Ah. From your description it's not an ANPR van. All depends how quickly you were going! Some operators are more 'dedicated' than others.

Yes they do that ,here in Brighton they all seem to go off esp if its cold or wet ,Had it in a car and on the bike ,you should be OK ..........youll know in 28 days!! Good luck
