Ohlin Suspension query

Does anyone know whether Ohlins make a set of suspension units for the R1150GS Adventure. Will the units for the older model GS1150 fit and what differences are there. I assume that the main thing will be the extra 1" of travel the Adventure is supposed to have.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be welcome.

Suspension

Not sure about Ohlins but WP have them for the Adventure. I have just fitted them to my 1150GS (non adv) the best thing you can do to the bike!!.

Yes they do, I've got them fitted to mine.

Standard Settings?

I have an '02 R1150GS

Bike was purchased ex demo with Ohlins fitted front and rear

Whilst the bike handles fine, (I think) can anyone tell me what the standard "factory" settings should be.

I may be missing out on even better handling.

Tried out my newly fitted front Ohlins this weekend and on the first 180 mile ride,I found the handling to be far worse.
So,got some advice and backed off the front preload,to the bottom of thread,so that the double collar was flush with the shock body and threads.
This has made the shock softer and more responsive.
Now I will have to experiment with the rebound settings,to smooth things out.
Any recommended front rebound settings..........soft ~ ie very little is what I'm told.
