Ohlins Rear Shock: What do you think?

Advice from a yank.

May I ask Why the Ohlins las only 20.000m Cant they last longer?

Just put the ohlins on my 1150gsa. Big difference and worth the $ (US of course). Frequency of R&R depends on use. If you are not a offroader, you can get about 40,000 miles in between rebuilds, is what I have been told. You will love the handling of your bike, whatever you do. Stock shocks are gone in about 30,000 miles.

Spent a month in your beautiful country last summer. Can't wait to redo the highlands of Scotland on a bike.:)

I've been driving with Öhlin Rear Shock, and since the change from the origianl the bike is acting like I would expect from the begining.
Mrs. Andersen also enjoy riding now, as the rear doesn't impact anymore :clap.

Easy to adjust and gives a good and solid impresion :thumb2. Also easy to mount on the bike, could even use the original mudguard from the original shock.

:rob I thought that when you ordered a ohlins, or a white power shock they were built by the importers to your weight riding style and usage ???
Hello all

I put a pair of used ohlins n my 1150 adventure, I done a bout 3000 miles on/off road, green laning all sorts and it was fine, just before I set off to France, Spain and the whole of Morocca I had the rear one rebuilt by PDQ Developments ,they rebuilt the entire rear shock, replaced everything and it cost £160,lucky I had it rebuilt because there were a few problem inside.
In Morocca the time spent on road/offroad was 50/50 and no problems at all.
The ohlins are a really good option and it makes the ride even on TKC80's smooth.
