I have only read about one rider changing the stock shocks on their new R1200GS with Wilbers, but I was curious if anyone has put on a set of Ohlins?

I'm a heavey guy and have Jesse bags and top box so my GS. Thus my GS has a heavey load to carry which appears beyond what the stock shocks were designed to support.

I had ohlins on my R1150GS and they were a big improvement over the stock stocks. Thougt someone would have put a set on the R1200GS and wanted your comments.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Probably a bit too soon. I guess most will hold off until the stocks need replacing.

At least, that's what I'm planning to do

I've just put Ohlins on my 1200 after doing 13500 miles on the stock shocks, but I've only done about 50 miles so far. first impressions are that the ride is smoother (something I also noticed when I swapped bikes with Johnnyboxer- his 1150 is fitted with Ohlins). the recovery time when I've hit potholes or gone airborne is much better. as yet I've not tried adjusting them , think I need to do a few more miles to suss out if and what I need to adjust to make them even better.
