This may be a dumb question but I haven’t changed to oil on my xchallenge before so I am looking for some guidance.
1.Where is the oil filter located and do I need a special tool to remove it?
2.Where do I drain the oil from as the oil tank is under the seat?
Sorry for asking questions that probably have very obvious answers.

1. No special tool required. oil filter is located behind a round plate with 3 screws holding it. This plate is about 2" in diameter and is located just behind the rear brake resevoir, on the back of the engine block.

2. There is a ally sump plug in the bottom of the engine, but there is also a drain in the oil tank as well. This is located low on the back of the tank, just in front of the rear shock. It looks like a big bleed nipple that you might find on a brake calliper. Put a length of hose on and loosen off the nipple. make sure you put the other end of the hose in your oil bowl, and not hovering 2" above your best trainers :blast

Messy oil change

Be ready to cover everything in oil as the procedure needs the fill tank to breath until its got the right level, I blip the starter every now and then (without actually starting up) until the level doesnt drop anymore.
Also worth measuring out the oil first.
