Oil cooler fan

Have been trying to reduce weight of the ex plod R1100RT I bought cheap the other day and amongst all the other crap I found, its got an oil cooler fan.

Good idea if you're going to leave it running on stand for a while I guess.

Not sure if it would fit a GS but would be worth having if you spend a bit of time trying to destroy your Adventure in Morocco

It used to be an option on RT's. Most police RT's have them fitted.

do you need to change the grade of oil





mabey to a chip oil

No, because the fan blows out through the oil cooler. It doesn't suck air in.

going on ebay anyway - seems like the old yanks love them.

especially in the states where they arn't allowed to filter through traffic

if it will stop the smoke coming out of the fairing in heavy traffic then it works for me

perhaps if I put it under the bellypan I can get some 'ground effect' like the Brabham BT46B
