Oil cooler guard

Just picked up a second hand cooler guard . Usual metal mesh type with right angle section at top and bottom to slip over the cooler.
Does anyone know if there is a quick way to fit these or do I have to remove the whole beak. Looks like a pain in the arse if I do.

it will take 10 minutes tops to r+r the beak ,get on with it

You need to remove the beak. If you have a GSA with winglets they need removing as do two plastic covers on top of the tank.
You don't need to release the oil cooler though. It can be fitted in position.

mine fits with elastic running behind the oil cooler and gromets in front. Super easy to on and off and never had a problem with it...

put a pic up, usually there are 2 metal brackets that go behind the cooler and 4 long screws that attatch guard to cooler through said brackets.
dont be stingy just buy the right product no removing the beak

I refitted my reyno grill last week and did not have to remove the beak, i did remove the little spoiler over the top though to be able to do the screws up, oh and ive got hands like sausages

Beak Puzzler

I've done it both ways on two differnt bikes over past month.

Beak off is best when you are farkling on your own, no one to appreciate the bad language.

Beak on is for group farkling, when the profanity can flow and be savoured & graded.

Of course the second approach was to prove I'd done it the wrong way all along.

Now Tobinators are a defintely a group thing.
