I've recently done an oil and filter change on my 1150 adv. After a run today I noticed some oil dribbles from around the oil filter housing.
I used a filter tool (from wimoto) to fit but it seamed to wedge rather than slotting into the gap so I'm guessing the filter isn’t tight enough.
So my questions are, do you agree? and as I don’t want to end up with a pile of useless tools, where can I get a tool that is guarantied to fit?
This tool seams to be curled over on the edge giving it 3-4mm of metal outside the filter.
Thanks

J

Buy the proper tool, used to be about £6.

Got mine from Jaws Motorcycles.

Filter is so far recessed into engine that you need the correct tool before doing this job.

Only have to buy it once..

Halfords sell them - laser brand - work fine on my 1100.
