OIL HEAD SERVICE DAYS

Thanks Mike and Duncan, and good to meet some more of you tossers.

Scary to realise that Oilheads have been around for over 20 years.

Great day today Mike - thank you for hosting us and to Duncan for keeping us topped up with tea.
Good to put names and faces again and hope to see you all sometime soon .... Yorkshire is open for business and not too far away from you:thumb2
Mike ... Will take the starter motor apart and see if I can rebuild it on my own...stand by for a box of bits in the post:rolleyes:
Simon ... Thanks for the lift - my turn next :beerjug:

hi all,,
firstly i would like to say a big thank you to duncan(arkwright):bow
duncan has been chief tea boy and encyclopedia bmw at every service day we have had at the workshop, his help and award winning flapjacks make the day so much easier to host:D
i hope everyone who attended this weekend enjoyed themselves ,and left with a bit more confidence to tackle the jobs that they may have thought were harder than they really are:thumby:
the main thing is we had a few good laughs and made some new friends.
it really is a pleasure for me to host these events and to meet other enthusiastic motorcyclists,
i hope to bump into you all at the various camping weekends and other events around the country this year.
thanks:thumb2

When's the Smoker & Thumpers Yamaha day Micheal?:D
if there was enough demand we could do a general trail bike day,i would have to give the content some thought as we all ride very different bikes on the trails.
the danger being, some one going away and carrying out a completely incorrect procedure!:blast
for instance ;the very different methods of changing the engine oil on wetsump and dry sump bikes.:rob
the days work so well cos we only deal with one model of bike at a time, its a bit more focused so its easier to keep "on subject".
running the days can be akin to "herding cats"sometimes but great fun,
i am more than happy to do one to one tuition or a smaller group on a specific machine if wanted but this would have to be on a school day not weekends:D

Better late than never. Big thank you from me too to all that made Sunday a good day out. Mike, Duncan and all the other Tossers.

:clap

He didn't bring flapjack on the day I attended:mad:. Can I have a partial refund please Mike? :D

How in gods name did you do that bear?

I nipped into your house and stole it when you weren't looking. I even did some hoovering up whilst I was at it, your living room was a disgrace

Then I clicked on your link, and clicked on the download icon to download it to my laptop.

Then uploaded it to my photobucket account, then copied the image details from there, then posted those details in this thread by clicking on the 'Insert Image' icon above the reply box.
