oil leak

My 5yr old GS1100 leaks from the cylinder block (joint nearest the crankcase) on runs above 6000rpm. Didn't use to, now both sides do it. It started after a speedy two-up fully loaded trip and some steep hills.
I reckon the stud bolts have stretched a little and stretch further at top revs - it doesn't leak if I stay below 6000rpm or don't beast it with a heavy load.
I've had this happen with a car engine and Clymers says that studs are supposed to be re-torqued after 600 miles of new/rebuild, Haynes doesn't mention this.
My bet is that very few dealers take the rocker cover off and do this, and it stays fine until somebody starts to explore the limits of the engine revs/torque.

Oh dear, my gs 1150 leaks oil after a run and parked on the sidestand, does his sound expensive ?

GM - Yes
SPC - We'll have a look, sir.
Park West - This could be quite expensive, sir.
Coopers - How much have you got, sir?
Sawbridgeworth - Not at all expensive. Please sit down whilst you read our bill!

oil seems to be coming from nutty bit with thing sticking out

Take the wire off and give it a bit of a nip up with a socket should be 30Nm acording to me manual, then clean it so you can see if thats where its coming from.

Let us know how you get on

Whats that 'stuff' I can see through the oil level inspection window? Is it some sort of cooking oil used in bakery? Squished mollasses? Marmite?

Can't be engine oil - surely:confused:
