Thought it might be weeping a bit from the gearbox drain plug, but on removing the filler plug a small amount, maybe 20cc of oil ran out.
6,000 miles since the bike was serviced and stone cold engine. On centrestand, level etc.

Does the gearbox have a vent? .......or could a slightly over-filled gearbox put pressure on seals and cause a slight leak?

Don't think it's the gearbox input seal leaking as I have no clutch slip....

Is this on the joint between engine and gearbox on the right hand side of the bike?

If so......rear crankshaft oilseal or gearbox oilseal. My '05 bike had to split in half twice - once for each seal. There was no clutch slip evident.

Mine's been done once already.....under warranty .........no warranty now....

Sounds very familiar!!!! I noticed the same thing and couldn't work out where it was coming from. Assumed it was a failed crush washer on the gearbox drain plug but had the dealer take a look. Apparently it was a 'pourous' gearbox and was replaced under warranty.
