Right, here's the story... just attached a fairly strong magnet to the bottom of the oil filter.. as a cheap and easy way of collecting any metallic swarf that would otherwise be swilling round the engine...
Just remove when oil filter change time is here.....
The thought I've just had is... I'm using GTX magnatec... has this got anything magnetic in it which is going to get 'sucked' out of the oil into the filter because of the super duper magnet?
Is this magnet idea a good one, or should I just get me coat?
