oil temp reading - anyone else never get a reading?

Has anyone else got a permanent --- instead of a temp reading?

Or is having a working one part of the 719 Mechanic special option ?

I assumed it was just not warm enough to register as I was on short runs - but 5 or 6 longer runs and it still stays at ---

Or does no-one else's come on (it worked fine on my 2020 F850GSA)

any guidance welcomed.... thanks

As far as I know it only shows oil level not temperature (1200 was the same)

Look on pages 53,54 of your manual, it explains the conditions necessary to have a reading
